We have had such a great first two days so far! We have read several stories, including David Goes to School, We Don’t Eat Our Classmates and My Mouth is a Volcano. We’ve had several lively discussions on what roles rules and procedures play at school and why we have them. This morning our second graders came up with 5 rules that they felt were “must haves” for our class. I’d say they made a pretty great list!

In no particular order:

1. Follow directions quickly
2. Raise your hand to speak
3. Listen to the speaker with your eyes and ears
4. Choose to be kind
5. Make smart choices

We have a pretty fabulous crew in grade 2 in you ask me! 🙂
